Can you feel it? There’s that unmistakable buzz of energy in The Gator Nation® that can only mean one thing: Gator football is almost here!
For UF Alumni Association members, football season is often synonymous with Gator Nation Tailgates. As always, these tailgates will open at Emerson Alumni Hall three hours before kickoff. Admission is FREE for all UFAA members! These events are a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and remind yourself of the power of the Gator spirit.
And speaking of the Gator spirit, I encourage you to get to know Dr. Hartmut Derendorf, the UF Alumni Association's 18th Distinguished Alumni Professor. As with so many Gators, the University of Florida has been an integral part of Dr. Derendorf's life and family for more than 30 years. In fact, he says that his favorite part of traveling around the world on UF's behalf is meeting fellow Gators for the first time. The UFAA is thrilled to work with Dr. Derendorf as an ex-officio member of our Board of Directors and to introduce him to our members around the globe over the next two years.
