Former Cicerone is Forbes' 30 Under 30: Healthcare

Forbes has recently named a former UF graduate and Florida Cicerone to their exclusive 30 Under 30: Healthcare list for 2017.

Gloria Tavera, now an M.D./Ph.D. student at Case Western Reserve University, is a founding member and the current president of the Universities Allied for Essential Medicines, which has 100 chapters at universities in 18 different countries.

Tavera graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. and B.A. in 2009 via the UF Honors Program as a Lombardi Scholar. She currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio.

Yvette Miley (BSBR '85)

Where are they now?

After two days on campus, Yvette Miley knew journalism was her future. The qualities instilled in her by her professors have aided her in receiving numerous honors, including three Emmy Awards. From working at The Palm Beach Post to her current position as senior vice president and executive director at MSNBC, Miley is proudly a part of the community that is the Gator Nation.
