Rebecca Patterson is one of the most prominent figures in investment banking today. As managing director and chief investment officer at Bessemer Trust, a wealth and investment management firm, she is responsible for more than $120 billion in invested assets.

After graduating from the University of Florida, she received a master of business administration from New York University and a master of arts in international relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She became a journalist and covered politics, economics and financial markets for Dow Jones, the Associated Press and the St. Petersburg Times. Patterson went on to serve as chief markets strategist for JPMorgan Asset Management and as global head of foreign exchange and commodities for the JPMorgan Private Bank.

Patterson is chair of the UF Investment Corporation Board, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the New York Federal Reserve's Investor Advisory Committee and the Economic Club of New York. American Banker named her one of "The 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance" in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
