Barbie Tilman, BSR ’00, currently resides in Tampa, Florida and remains an active member of her community while running a busy household with her husband Matt ('97) and their three baby Gators. Barbie currently serves on The University of Florida Foundation National Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the Tampa Yacht and Country Club. She is a committed committee member to both the Children's Cancer Center and the Starz Center for the Performing Arts. She also has held leadership roles at her children's elementary school acting as past chairs of both the Bobcat Bash and the Mitchell Elementary Golf Classic. 

Previously, Barbie owned Bumblebee Weddings and Events, a boutique agency that focused on the design and coordination of weddings and special events in Kennebunkport, Palm Beach and the greater Tampa Bay area.  She also worked for Pfizer in the pharmaceutical sales industry from 2001-2006. 

Barbie received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism with a specialty in Special Events Planning from the University of Florida. While at UF, she was a member of Florida Blue Key, Savant Leadership Honorary, Florida Cicerones, and Delta Delta Delta Sorority.  She is a third generation Gator graduate and a seventh generation Floridian and her unmatched enthusiasm for The University of Florida and her natural ability to connect past, present and future Gators make her a dynamic leader who is truly committed to UFAA and the future of UF.  She has served on the UFAA Board of Directors since 2012.
