, a Gator-founded corporate wellness company, was developed to introduce a health-tech wellness solution to employers. Over the past year, has welcomed more than fifty new employees to contribute to the growth of the company, including a Gator Softball National champion and multi-winning SEC Title softball and soccer champions.
"I was fortunate enough to go to school and get to work for UF athletics during my tenure in . Being a Gator and getting to see the level of talent our university brought on the field and in the classroom compelled me to try to find roles for talented people, like these rock stars,” states Peerfit’s CEO, Ed Buckley III, .
While each athlete may have overlapped in their respective seasons or while attending weekend events during their undergrad years, these female rock stars have reunited again as coworkers.
Meet Taylor Schwarz
Taylor is an Enterprise Health Account Manager at , and a three-time SEC Title Champion and two-time National Champion for UF’s softball team between 2013-2016. As an Enterprise Health Account Manager, she oversees the success of company wellbeing programs for enterprise clients, creates engagement strategies and communication plans, and manages employee engagement on .
“Playing softball at UF allowed me to see that I am not only an athlete, I am so much more. It has ultimately allowed me to be confident in my role here at and also be able to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to meeting new people or talking to strangers about .”
Meet Ali Gardner and Megan Mersch (Bush)
Both Ali and Megan are two-time SEC Title Champions for UF’s softball team, where they overlapped on the team between 2007-2011.
Ali is the Director of Rewards at , brought on to build a new rewards program within . She collaborates with partners to offer exclusive perks for while creating brand loyalty and incentivizing Peerfitters to increase their engagement.
“Ed and I have kept in touch since I graduated and he knew I was looking for a new challenge, how important staying in shape after my athletic career was to me, and how I wanted to be a part of a team again.”
Megan is a Wellness Solutions Consultant. She ensures that all new studios and gyms added to the Network across the country are set up for success by creating a seamless experience for our wellness partners and users, through quality assurance and relationship management.
“Ali was part of the best athletic team I’ve ever been a part of at UF and I’m excited that we are back on the same team again.”
Meet KeLeigh Hudson
Two-time SEC Championship and Sweet 16 soccer player from 2004-2007.
KeLeigh is the Administrative Director at . She is responsible for daily operations, finance, and human resources including company travel planning, employer invoicing, managing expense reports, and onboarding of new employees.
“If it was not for UF and soccer, I would have never had the opportunity to join this amazing company. The athletic community is small but these are friends I will have for life, who are now co-workers!”
