As an administrator in higher education, Will Atkins leads multiple departments at the University of Florida centered on student engagement. He is a key leader in creating retention-based programs and initiatives and enhancing the university landscape to be an environment where all students can succeed. Prior to his current role, he spearheaded the award-winning reconstruction of the Institute of Black Culture (IBC) and Institute of Hispanic-Latino Cultures (LaCasita), which created vital community spaces for Black and Latinx Gators. Will is a doctor of philosophy in curriculum and instruction candidate. Over his career, Will has worked at numerous top tier universities and presented at national and international conferences. Outside of his direct work, Will teaches classes at UF and serves as an advisor for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
