Thursday, February 16th is Gator Nation Giving Day, an all-day fundraising event that calls on University of Florida alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and families and friends to come together to support UF and all of its areas of positive impact in our state, nation and world. Last year, UF Alumni Association Gator Clubs and Affiliate Groups raised over $91,000 for scholarships and the Music City Gators raised nearly $1,700 alone.
This year we'll host a special event on Gator Nation Giving Day with giveaways, surprise donation matching, and door prizes. While we're collecting donations online all day, we'll be setting up our headquarters from 5:00-8:00pm at HiFi Clyde's. Stop by anytime between 5-8pm on Thursday, February 16th to donate while networking with fellow Gators, enjoying happy hour drinks, and winning prizes! Here's the plan:
5:00pm - The first 20 Gators through the door will receive a free Beat Vandy t-shirt!
5:30pm - Grab a free raffle ticket (UFAA members get 2 tickets!) for a drawing to win a $50 Fanatics gift card!
6:00pm - Surprise donation match announcement!
6:30pm - Power Half Hour! The Gator with the most donations in 30 minutes wins a $50 Visa gift card!
7:00pm - Another surprise donation match announcement!
7:30pm - Our final prize giveaway of a $50 gift card for The Salty Cubana!
While you must be present to win the awesome prizes above, we're also tracking the number of donations throughout the day and will award the Music City Gator who makes the most number of donations on February 16th two tickets to the Florida vs. Vandy basketball game!
