Bio

Craig S. Fleisher, Ph.D., is an Adj. (Full) Professor of Global Health Equity (GHE) in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) where he teaches courses in global health consulting and applying research. He is focused on how to enhance and lead insight-related activities; developing innovative, strategic sense-making/-giving capabilities, culture, and processes in organizations that result in superior data/info analysis, actionable decisions & market/stakeholder success. For four decades in classrooms and boardrooms, his ideas, methods, and principles are regularly presented and validated in dialogues & analyses with top students as well as accomplished executives around the globe. Among the top-cited Google Scholars in a handful of subjects, Craig has been quoted in prominent intl. business media and shared with associations, public agencies, government officials, think tanks & some of the globe's most respected brands including advising, among others, 3M, Bell, BHP, Boeing, CIBC, EDS, Exxon Mobil, GE, GM, IBM, J&J, Labatt, Levi Strauss, Merck, P&G, Suncor Energy and UPS.

Author/editor of 17 published books and over 225 scholarly papers, Dr. Fleisher is a former President & board member of the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence (CI) Professionals (Washington, DC), Chair & board member of the CI Foundation (Washington, DC), President of a Canadian public affairs association (Toronto, ON), Editor of the Journal of CI & Management (Ingenta), Co-Editor of the Intl. Handbook of Corporate and Public Affairs (SAGE), Deputy Editor of the Journal of Public Affairs (Wiley), MPRCA, SCIP Meritorious Award winner and an intl. Council of CI Fellow. A former MBA director, business school dean, full (tenured) professor, and 2x endowed university research chair holder, he is/was a member of university faculties and/or advisory boards in the US, CA, AU, CH, FI, NZ, UK & ZA. The recipient of numerous awards for teaching, research, mentoring & service, he has facilitated successful workshops or keynoted meetings globally, and supervised/supported dozens of graduate theses. Craig is a dual Canadian/U.S. citizen who also lived in Australia and now lives behind enemy lines in north Georgia. He is also the proud sponsor of the Fleisher Family Opportunity Scholarship Endowment which financially supports the study of promising first-generation honors scholars at UF.
