Calling All University of Florida Alumni and Friends of the University!

Join thousands of Gators worldwide in this International Day of Service for the Gator Nation.  Bring your family and show your Orange and Blue pride while giving back to our community and helping to preserve one of Pinellas County’s treasures Fort De Soto Park!

With cutbacks in government funding and personnel at State and County parks, our assistance will be very helpful to the Fort De Soto maintenance staff. Let's show them what the Gator Nation is made of!

There are several opportunities for service:
  • Super Gators – volunteers who will help with cleaning trails and pulling and disposing of exotics. We need the most of these!
  • Jr Gator Assistants–  volunteers who will organize and supervise the Jr. Gators’ activities.
  • Jr Gators – young volunteers who will participate in a “trash pickup scavenger hunt” -- beach clean-up with prizes awarded for “baddest” trash collected.
  • Chef Gators – volunteers who will assist with prepping, serving, and cleaning up after lunch (served around noon)

Check in for IGD is at 9am at North Beach Shelter #10. All volunteers will receive an IGD shirt, other Gator goodies, and a pizza lunch at noon.

PLEASE RSVP by Monday, May 14 with names, work preference, and shirt sizes of all volunteers. Car drivers who sign-up by 5/14 will receive a special  pass for free park entry. To RSVP, click http://www.pinellascountygatorclub.com/igd.html

Get Involved!  Bring Sunscreen!  After IGD, Stay & Play!
