    Saturday, May 17, 2025, is International Gator Day, a day in which Gator Clubs® and Affiliate Groups around the world unite to utilize the size and spirit of the Gator Nation® to positively impact local communities. Gators will join together to support projects and programs within their local communities, using their time and talents to serve others. Join us at Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach again this year for a beach clean-up to save the turtles. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water (preferably a reusable tumbler instead of plastic water bottles) and pick up a Gator IGD t-shirt and other swag at check-in!

  • International Gator Day Trash Pick Up

    International Gator Day of service is May 16th, so come do your gators good by helping us to pick up trash with family and friends to help make a difference in our community. Afterwards, come network and get to know some of your fellow local gators with brunch on us! All participants get a free International Gator Day t-shirt! Saturday, May 16th, at 8 a.m. at the corner of Glenwood Ave (Hwy 70) and Triangle Drive. Participants will pick up trash along a two mile stretch on Glenwood Ave (Hwy 70) in Raleigh, NC. This two mile stretch is between CarMax and The Angus Barn. Safety vests, gloves, and trash bags will be provided. We will begin the trash pick up at 8:00 a.m. and the pick up lasts about an hour and a half. P lan to meet in the parking area at the intersection of Glenwood Ave/Triangle Dr next to the Bicycle Chain. Minors aged 12 and older are welcome to participate , but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 years of age or older.     Back by popular demand- this year's International Gator Day service is a Beach Clean Up with our partners at Keep Pinellas Beautiful! JOIN PCGC AND KEEP PINELLAS BEAUTIFUL FOR AN INTERNATONAL GATOR DAY BEACH CLEAN UP ON SATURDAY, MAY 16TH AT 9:00AM. WHERE TO MEET: We will meet at South Gandy Beach, east of The Getaway about halfway down the beach. Look for the Keep Pinellas Beautiful direction signs, table, and tent. TIME: Cleanup will begin at 9:00 am. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in. WHAT TO WEAR: Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes such as boots or sneakers, sun protection, and weather appropriate clothing. WHAT TO EXPECT: Cleanup supplies will be provided by KPB. For International Gator Day, we’re partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver for a half-day homesite build in the Denver area. This is a hands-on opportunity to support affordable housing while spending time with fellow Gators doing something that actually matters. What to Expect: You’ll be working on an active home build alongside Habitat staff and future homeowners. Tasks may include: Framing and exterior work Painting and finishing Site organization and cleanup General construction support No experience required—just show up ready to contribute.     It's our first event for International Gator Day: NC Diaper Bank. It is May 16th, 10 am to 12 pm. We're gonna have lunch afterwards. We will have a diaper packaging event at the Charlotte Diaper Bank in Uptown Charlotte. This means we will take a large batch of diapers and break them down into uniform packs for individual distribution. It is a very heartwarming project. This year we begin IGD in Manhattan at the KEEN basketball project on the Upper East Side. Volunteering at KEEN has been one of Gotham Gators' favorite volunteer projects. No experience is required. A brief orientation will lead you to a morning of smiles and fun for all ages. This will be the 8th year the Gotham Gators will participate in KEEN's program for International Gator Day! Please join us at KEEN for the UES Basketball Program for children and young adults with disabilities. This is a non-competitive sports program with special needs kids to help them discover just how much they can do! KEEN fosters the self-esteem, confidence, and talents of young people facing significant challenges, empowering them to meet their individual goals. KEEN New York's Manhattan Basketball is an indoor program for our athletes who wish to shoot some hoops, practice their ball-handling skills, and finesse their footwork all in a team setting. During the program, athletes and Gator volunteers come together for one-to-one activities. They have a group warm up, and then volunteer coaches help each athlete practice exercises and drills. The session ends with everyone coming together in a circle and sharing with the group what they did that day "that made them very Proud" (followed closely by a round of Hot Potato!).

    Please join the Rocky Mountain Gator Club for our annual "Welcome to the Gatorhood" hiking event on Saturday, June 27 in Evergreen, CO ! This family-friendly event will bring together Gators who are new to the area and those who've been part of RMGC for years! The hike will start at 8:30 am departing from the Watershed North Trailhead at 2625 Beaver Brook Canyon Road, Evergreen. This out-and-back hike to the reservoir is 5 miles roundtrip. We will determine the distance of our hike that day depending on the temperature/conditions. Please RSVP so we know how many to expect. After the hike, our RMGC President is hosting a gathering at her cabin, located across from the trailhead (look for the blue siding and Gator flags). Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Please feel free to bring a lawn game or a side dish.
