A Fabulous Dia de los Muertos 5K

The Marion County Gator club dipped its toes into fundraising by hosting the 3rd annual Dia de los Muertos 5K on October 25, and all of our hard work resulted in much success.  Not only were there almost more than 2 times as many participants than last year's event, but by all accounts, everyone had a great time. The kids fun run was equally enjoyable as were the many colorful costumes.

1st Welcome to the Gatorhood event a success!

The new Marion County Gator club is off to a great start as an invigorated club, by hosting our first Welcome to the Gatorhood event at the Bank Street Patio Bar in downtown Ocala. In addition to introducing guests to our club, we were joined by John Kane, Executive Director of the Hamilton School, with a presentation about UF's newest up and coming academic initiative.

Gator Club invited to tour UF Veterinary Hospital

Members of the Marion County Gator Club were treated to a private tour of the UF Veterinary hospital at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala. The tour of this state-of-the-art facility was as impressive as it was educational. Following the tour, club members and guests converged on the nearby Yellow Pony restaurant for lunch and cameraderie. Additional photos can be found on our Facebook page
