Several blocks of West University Avenue will be closed on UF Football Game Days to ensure the safety of all individuals in the area.
W. University Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic between 17th Street and 22nd Street. The closures will be in effect approximately three hours before kickoff and will conclude approximately two hours after game time.
The recent tragic events in the US and abroad triggered the precautionary measure to be implemented in Gainesville. Public Safety Officials with the City of Gainesville and the University of Florida were both instrumental in the development of this plan.
UF Alumni members are encouraged to allow for extra travel time in their game day schedules. The UFAA will still be hosting its Gator Nation Tailgates at Emerson Alumni Hall prior to kickoff. Keep in mind adjusted parking plans and routes to reach EAH.
