Transform Today

Dance Marathon at the University of Florida is aiming to raise $262,000 in a 26.2-hour period beginning 8:00 am November 15 and concluding 10:12 am November 16. This goal symbolizes both the 26.2 miles covered while running a marathon and the hours that students will stand on their feet at the culminating Dance Marathon March 25-26, 2017 at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

Since 62 children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital every minute, all funds raised during the 26.2 hours of Transform Today will go directly to Children’s Miracle Network at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

Transform Today resulted in $139,274.65 of donations in 2014, and in 2015, Dance Marathon at the University of Florida shattered their one-day fundraising goal of $200,000 by raising $224,756.13.

To increase cause connection for participants and donors throughout the UF and greater Gainesville community, Dance Marathon at the University of Florida is correlating this monetary goal to the lifesaving machines and materials utilized by countless children daily at the facility. Their hope is that Together We Can increase funds and awareness for the patients and families who need their continued support the most during Transform Today and throughout the year.
