Learn More about the Gator Band

The University of Florida Fightin' Gator Marching Band is one of the largest and most recognizable student organizations on campus. Comprised of over 360 students, the marching band is a collection of some of the most hard-working, intelligent, and enthusiastic individuals at the University and has been since its creation in 1913. The "Pride of the Sunshine" has performed across the country and the globe in destinations such as Phoenix, New Orleans, Miami, and London, England for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Music has the power to express those emotions unexplainable by words alone and the University of Florida Fightin' Gator Marching Band aims to make music at the highest level while portraying the most honorable image of the University, as well as its students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The Gator Band Alumni Association is dedicated to the ongoing improvement and strengthening of the Gator Band. The GBAA seeks to engage band alumni and friends to create and maintain a strong bond between band alumni and the University of Florida. The GBAA recognizes the value of the Gator Band experience and provides support for the program’s success.

While there are certain restrictions regarding who can march on the field during homecoming weekend, membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the Gator Band. Simply click Gator Band Alumni as a group you’d like to be a part of when you join, or update your records to be affiliated with the group.
