“Kids are also hungry on the weekends….but they don’t have to be.”
That is why Space Coast Gator Club is starting a new volunteer project in support of the Children’s Hunger Project which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to eliminating the growing problem of weekend childhood hunger.
We will assist them by packing the food to be given to the kids for the weekend so they don’t come to school hungry on Monday.
Proper nutrition is the foundation for school success. Improved nutrition on the weekends enables at-risk children to be better prepared to participate in their education.
