Marsha Powers, MBA ’79, retired as Chief Executive Officer for Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s Coastal Division. Powers was responsible for directing the strategy and operations for 18 acute care hospitals in South Florida, South Carolina and Massachusetts. A veteran health care executive, Powers has over four decades of experience, including operational responsibility for large and diverse hospital networks. Prior to joining Tenet, Powers served as a division president of Triad Hospitals, Inc., where she oversaw the operations of 11 hospitals, two ambulatory surgery centers and a physician management organization in Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.  


Before working at Triad, Powers served as president of physician/hospital integration for Quorum Health Services and then President of the Company’s Southeast region.  


Powers holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, and a master’s degree in business administration, specializing in health and hospital administration, from the University of Florida. Powers served on the board of governors of the Federation of American Hospitals and was a board member and executive committee member for Associated Industries of Florida. She is also a board member for UF Health Jacksonville and UF Health Shands and Chaired the UF HEALTH CORP Transition Committee.  She has served on the UFAA Board of Directors since 2016.
