About the Class of 1976 Reunion & Grand Guard Society Induction

The Grand Guard Society celebrates the rich history of The Gator Nation® and provides meaningful experiences for Gators who have reached the 50th anniversary of their graduation. This year, we are honored to induct the Class of 1976 during their Reunion Celebration, which is a featured event during Alumni Weekend. All Grand Guard Society members are invited to participate and help welcome the new inductees.

The Grand Guard tradition began in 1955 and included graduates from East Florida Seminary, Florida Agricultural College, and South Florida Military Institute. There are approximately 1,000 living Grand Guard members to date.

Alumni Weekend June 25-27, 2026 in Gainesville, FL.
