Julie Miller Torres received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, her Master of Laws from the University of Miami in 2008, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2016. She is admitted to both The Florida Bar and the New York Bar, but stopped practicing law in 2013 when she decided to pursue a career in art.
While a student at the University of Florida, Julie was a member of the Florida Cicerones and Florida Blue Key and served as President of the John Marshall Bar Association. Following her graduation from law school, Julie remained connected to the university by serving on the Law Alumni Council for ten years.
Julie lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, Alexi Torres, and their two sons, Gabriel and Jonah. She is a member of Impact 100 Atlanta and a Life Member of the University of Florida Alumni Association.
Julie is serving a one-year term as a Presidential Appointee; her term expires 6/30/2027.
