Nicolle Davis is a neuroscience nurse with 15 years of experience with her nursing practice spanning from bedside nursing in a 30-bed neurosurgical intensive care unit, serving as a research coordinator for several well-known endovascular neurosurgeons, to building and maintaining a Comprehensive Stroke Program at a large academic medical center. In May 2023, she was named the director of the UF Health Mobile Stroke Unit, the only mobile stroke unit in Florida and one of only 20 nationwide. The purpose of the mobile stroke unit is to allow responders to immediately administer life-saving care to stroke victims en route to the hospital. Dr. Davis earned her PhD from the UF College of Nursing in 2019, and her interests include stroke and cerebrovascular care and research. Through both clinical quality improvement and original research, she aims to improve stroke systems of care that will lead to improved patient outcomes and decreased disease burden. Nicolle was elected as a fellow of the American Heart Association by her peers and has presented and published nationally and internationally.
