Dwight R. Roache, MHA, FACHE is Assistant Vice President of Operations at Atrium Health-Mercy, a 212-bed adult health tertiary acute care facility. Dwight’s core responsibility includes clinical and non- clinical operations and business oversight across the Atrium Health-Mercy campus. He provides leadership for Security, Plant Operations, Environmental Services, Food & Nutrition Services, Integrative Therapies, Respiratory Therapy, Lab and Pharmacy. Dwight most recently served as Director of Business Operations for Atrium Health-Mercy. Prior to his current role, Dwight served as Business Manager for Atrium Health’s Central Division (CMC (Carolinas Medical Center)-Main, Atrium Health-Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital), leading Capacity & Flow initiatives. He started at Atrium Health as Business Manager for Perioperative Services where he was responsible for fiscal management, data and clinical value analysis, and scheduling for surgical services for Central Division hospitals. Dwight’s prior experiences include Healthcare Consulting, Data Analytics, Strategic Planning, Nursing Operations Management, Process Improvement, Revenue Cycle and Facilities Planning.

Dwight is an experienced healthcare leader. He is a Fellow in the American College of HealthCare Executives (ACHE) and a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). He is involved in local and national memberships in ACHE, currently serving as Treasurer- Elect and NAHSE, serving as President of the North Carolina Chapter.

Mr. Roache is active in the Charlotte community, serving in various volunteer capacities. He volunteers with the Renaissance West Community Initiative, which is a large-scale effort to revitalize Charlotte’s West Boulevard corridor through a focus on mixed-income housing, health and wellness, and high-quality education. Dwight was selected as an Emerging Business Leader in 2016 with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. In 2020, he was selected as an honoree for Charlotte Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. In 2021, he was selected as one of 23 scholars for the ACHE Thomas C. Dolan CAP Program. Also, in 2021 he was accepted into Leadership Charlotte.
