Thomas Clarke is a leading expert in global brand management, marketing and product development. As president of Nike Innovation, Clarke oversees Nike's advanced product innovation teams and the sustainable business and innovation team to serve some of the world’s top athletes with footwear, apparel and accessories.

Since joining Nike in 1980, Clarke has held various roles in research, design, development and marketing. During his six-year tenure as president and chief operating officer, Nike more than doubled revenue, progressing from $3 billion to more than $9 billion. During that time, Clarke also played an integral role in the globalization of Nike, helping increase business outside the U.S. by 20 percent each year. Clarke was later appointed president of new business development and was responsible for the new business ventures operation, which targets new product markets and diversification efforts for Nike worldwide.

Clarke currently sits on the board of directors at Newell Brands, a worldwide marketer of consumer and commercial products. He was previously on the board of directors for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc.
