Dori Foster-Morales, BA ’86, JD ’89, practices exclusively in marital and family law and is board-certified by The Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She is a Fellow of numerous prestigious legal organizations including the American and International Academies of Matrimonial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. In 2017, she was recognized as the Top Matrimonial and Family Lawyer in Miami-Dade County and consistently receives accolades from Martindale Hubbell, Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America.

With over 25 years of experience in high-profile, complex cases, Dori’s legal background includes service at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, where she tried 65 cases to verdict. Her Economics degree from UF has been vital in managing complex financial matters for clients.

Dori is a leader in the Florida legal community, serving as President of The Florida Bar (2020–2021) and a Board of Governors member (2007–2020). She has chaired major committees, championed lawyer wellness and diversity, and earned the Florida Bar President’s Award of Merit in 2018. She is a Lifetime Member of the Florida Bar Foundation and the ABA, and was named one of Florida Trend 500’s Most Influential Business Leaders in 2020.

Her contributions to UF include serving on the Law Center Association Board of Trustees since 2018, chairing its Alumni Relations & Development Committee, and being inducted into Florida Blue Key as an Honorary Member in 2023. A passionate speaker, Dori is recognized statewide for her advocacy on family law and lawyer wellness.

Dori and her husband of 35 years, Jimmy Morales, live in Miami-Dade County and have two children. Advocates for autism awareness, they co-founded the local chapter of Autism Speaks and support related causes. Dori serves a one-year term as a Presidential Appointee; her term expires 6/30/2026.
