Pascale Bélony, BSN RN, CHES, is a proud daughter of Haiti. Born and raised in Cap-Haitïen, Ms. Bélony takes utmost pride in knowing that the ancestral blood of Toussaint Louverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines is running through her veins. At the age of 12, Ms. Bélony left the comfort of her homeland to pursue educational opportunities in the United States. Little did she know, her exodus was divinely orchestrated to best prepare her for a life of service to her beloved country, Haiti.
In 2015, Ms. Bélony graduated from the University of Florida (UF) Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. Two years later, her passion for health and commitment to healthcare equity led her to acquire a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UF’s College of Nursing. Despite the overwhelming challenges of completing these rigorous degrees at one of the top 5 public universities in America, Ms. Bélony always reminded herself of her "why." At her core, Ms. Belony believes that quality healthcare is a fundamental human right and a vital necessity that every person deserves.
Ms. Bélony was one of the founding members of P4H Global (Projects for Haiti Global), a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating poverty in Haiti through education. From 2012 to 2020, she served as the Communications and Publicity Director. Throughout those years, she led over 400 University of Florida students to Haiti on Spring Break Trips. Ms. Bélony was instrumental in recruiting and training these students for their week of service. Throughout these years, Ms. Bélony organized the Health Education Workshops, which served over 1,000 Haitians in Cap-Haitien. Today, she proudly serves as the youngest member of P4H Global's Board of Directors.
In 2019, Ms. Bélony placed 2nd Runner Up at the National Miss Universe Haiti Pageant. Her pageant trajectory continued with being crowned Miss Supranational Haiti in 2020. In August 2021, Ms. Bélony represented Haiti at the 12th edition of the prestigious Miss Supranational beauty competition. She made history as the first Haitian woman to be a semi finalist at Miss Supranational (14th out of 58 countries). More notably, Ms. Bélony has garnered international love and acclamation as she was also crowned Miss Supranational Caribbean 2021 – bringing home Haiti's first crown ever. Today, Ms. Bélony is the reigning Miss Universe Haiti 2021, fulfilling her dream from 2019. She will represent Haiti at the 70th Miss Universe Competition in Eilat, Israel, in December.
Ms. Bélony utilizes her influence and platform to advocate and contribute to her community in the United States and Haiti. She serves as a Health Education Consultant for large organizations such as Hope for Haiti and an ambassador for MamaBaby Haiti. Ms. Bélony has also served as a panelist for the Haitian Community Alliance, hosted UF's Club Creole Annual pageant and Gala, hosted the Miss Haiti Florida 2020 pageant, featured as a guest of honor for UF's Black Alumni Homecoming, hosted the first annual "A Night of Elegance" with Haitian music mogul Roberto "T-VICE" to name a few.
A woman who leads with passion, confidence, and boldness is her essence. Ms. Bélony is dedicated to living out her lifelong commitment to inspiring women and serving marginalized communities globally.
