Celeste Thacker Hankins is a seventh generation Central Floridian and a fourth generation graduate of The University of Florida Levin College of Law. Born in Kissimmee, Celeste ventured to Vanderbilt University for undergrad but came back to Florida to attend UF for law school. Proud to maintain her Central Florida roots, Celeste is one of four attorneys for The Villages, the largest single-site, residential real estate development in the United States. In that role, Celeste has the opportunity to help shape the future growth of the State. Leadership and service in the community is another family tradition that Celeste continually strives to uphold. She currently serves as the President of the Foundation for Foster Children--a nonprofit whose mission is to create meaningful connections for children in foster care through personalized support– and the Immediate Past President of the UF Law Alumni Council. Celeste is the youngest person to lead the Foundation for Foster Children. She also serves as the Fifth Circuit Governor on The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board and co-chaired the premier YLD event in 2022. She is a member on other local boards including the Silver Spurs Rodeo. In just her third year of practice, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers recognized Celeste as a Leader in the Law in 2018. Celeste is also the proud wife of Brock Hankins, a fellow UF law graduate, and mother of a one-year old daughter.
