Deidra is an FBI Special Agent. Prior to her career as an FBI Special Agent, she was a Police Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Special Agent, and Special Agent Supervisor with the state of Florida. She was the recipient of the State Law Enforcement Leader of the Year award, and National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) - North Florida Member of the Year. As a NOBLE board member Deidra represented the chapter at meetings with various stakeholders across the United States. The meetings involved discussions surrounding efforts to bridge trust between law enforcement and local communities.

Since becoming an agent, Deidra has worked in New York City (FBI-NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force), Washington D.C. During her time in New York City, she served as a lead planner and team leader for events many of us are familiar with: NYC Times Square Ball Drop, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, TCS New York City Marathon, United Nations General Assembly, Formula E, U.S. Open Tennis Championships, Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, concerts at the Apollo Theater, and the 9/11 Commemoration 20th Anniversary.

Deidra understands the significance of mentorship. She mentors individuals who are primarily first-generation college students. Deidra trusts it takes one person to believe in a mentees ability to reach their full potential, essentially paving new paradigms for future generations to come within their own family legacy.
