For over 13 years, Ashley has worked as a distinguished Creative in the competitive advertising industry. Starting as a designer and eventually moving into art direction, Ashley is now a VP, Group Creative Director for a global advertising agency, R/GA, leading advertising efforts for the Jordan Brand within Nike. In prior roles she created advertising for global clients such as Amazon, The Coca-Cola Company, Audi, Verizon, Delta, Vaseline and the United States Marine Corps.

Ashley is a highly awarded Creative Director, earning 60+ industry awards from national and global organizations including the ADDYs, Webbys, Shortys, Awwwards, Communication Arts and the One Show. She is regarded as an expert in her field, frequently asked to speak on the future of advertising and invited to serve on juries for global awards shows.

Ashley has spearheaded meaningful change to the industry by being a leader that incorporates new voices to the creative process. She created the “No Other Skin” campaign for Vaseline, debuting an ode to the natural beauty of black and brown skin that aired during primetime television and across social channels. Her digital innovation work in partnership with Sprite Zero and the Black Panther franchise created a safe space for urban and black creators to explore lesser known professional paths. Her work with the United States Marines Corps not only modernized the organization, but more importantly, focused on an update in photography to accurately and honorably represent Marines of color.

Ashley dedicates time to mentor young creatives of color by volunteering with One Club Bootcamps, leading and designing internship programs in collaboration with Verizon AdFellows and local portfolio schools, and participating as an instructor and panelist for the AdPR Academy, a week-long program inclusive of students attending HBCUs. She continues to advocate and create opportunities for the next generation of creators to strengthen diversity within Advertising.
