Dr. Bustin is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Informatics and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for OvaryIt, Head of Clinical Informatics at the Atria Health, Associate Director of Clinical Informatics at Sollis Health, and as an attending physician in the Mountainside Medical Center Emergency Department. He is a double Gator, having graduated from the University of Florida as a Cum Laude with a BS in Psychology in 2007 and from the College of Medicine in 2011. Following his time in Gainesville, he completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He worked as a Staff Physician at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare for 7 years where he served in multiple leadership roles including as the Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Services and the Director of Point-of-Care Ultrasonography in addition to teaching residents and medical students as a clinical faculty member at the Florida State University College of Medicine. 


As a clinician, one of the peaks of Dr. Bustin's career was publicly being thanked by the University of Florida in the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper for his crucial role in caring for Gator basketball star Keyontae Johnson after his collapse on the court while playing against FSU. In 2019 he cofounded OvaryIt with his amazing wife Mary Kucek, and together they built a proprietary contraceptive platform that they are currently studying through National Institutes of Health funded research as a strategy to increase the adoption of pharmacist-prescribed contraceptive services, which has the potential to increase family planning access for millions of Americans. He has a passion for ethical entrepreneurship centered on utilizing technology and novel healthcare delivery approaches to increase quality, efficiency, and access to care. He carries this motivation into his various current leadership roles to be a constant agent for change and innovation.
