Keith Fernandez is a policy communications professional based in Washington, DC who has held multiple corporate and government roles over the past decade. He currently serves as Head of Social Impact Communications at DoorDash, where he is responsible for the company's narrative work around food access, merchant impact, Dasher empowerment, and community support. His experience includes roles at Univision Communications Inc., tech trade association TechNet, and as Counsel and Communications Director for U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the first Hispanic woman in Congress. He has also been involved in various federal, state, and local Florida-based campaigns.
Fernandez is also currently the President of the nonprofit Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) Alumni Association. During his time as President of the CHLI Alumni Association, Fernandez has launched the Wendy K. Martinez scholarship to benefit CHLI alumni and helped create a mentorship program. In his second term, Fernandez is launching a fellowship program for CHLI alumni who are recent graduates and expanding the alumni association's work by launching new chapters in South Florida and elsewhere. He is a member of the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network and is a graduate of Florida International University and the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.
