TITLE: Director of Legislative and Executive Communications

Part of the Aspen Prize winning Indian River State College family for 10 years, Andy first served as executive assistant and is currently director of legislative and executive communications in the Office of the President. He oversees statewide legislative affairs, the marketing and communications division, and assists the president with speeches and community presentations.
Prior to joining IRSC he was an associate vice president with the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County and a legislative assistant to Florida Senate President Ken Pruitt. Andy is a doctoral candidate at the University of Florida, where he will complete his doctorate in education. He has enjoyed volunteering with Take Stock in Children, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and United Way of St. Lucie County, where he just completed a second term as board chair.
Andy was honored in 2015 by the AFP Treasure Coast Florida chapter with the “Unsung Hero” award and selected, along with his “little” Travis, as the Treasure Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters Match of the Year. Andy was also presented the 2018 Bob Graham Distinguished Service Award by the Florida College System Student Government Association.
