Nicole is a museum educator committed to making experiences with the arts more inclusive, accessible and meaningful. She has spearheaded innovative programming for families including infant and toddler programs, movement-based gallery tours and multisensory experiences for visitors with disabilities. At the museum, she oversees the education department and the museum’s diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion efforts.
When she’s not at the museum, Nicole is writing a book titled, “Evaluating Early Learning in Museums: Planning for our Youngest Visitors.” She also serves as co-chair of a quality arts committee for the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children and as an advisory committee member for the Boulder Valley School District. She’s held education positions and internships at numerous arts and culture organizations including The High Museum of Art in Atlanta, The Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Visual Understanding in Education, Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco, The Art Institute of Chicago, Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, and Gainesville’s own Cultural Affairs division.
Nicole earned an Art History bachelor’s degree from UF and a master’s degree in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts.
