Congratulations Class of 1970 & 1971 on the 50th anniversary of your graduation from the University of Florida! Welcome Reception


Gather Thursday evening to kick-off the reunion weekend. This event provides a time to visit with old classmates over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and an opportunity to pick up your weekend materials.

The dress code for this event is business casual.

Breakfast of Memories


Kick-off your day at Emerson Alumni Hall with the Breakfast of Memories, a tradition at the Grand Guard Society Reunion event. At this event, participants will be able to share their favorite UF memories and reminisce about their years as a student.

College Lunches


Alumni are invited to spend an afternoon with the college from which they graduated. Colleges will host a variety of events designed to reconnect alumni with current research that is taking place in the academic unit, as well as introduce them to some of their current faculty and students.  You can register for a college lunch during the overall registration for Reunion Weekend.

Induction Celebration


Alumni are invited to a formal induction ceremony, at the J. Wayne Reitz Union - Grand Ballroom, honoring the Class of 1970 & 1971. Inductees are celebrated by, once again, having the opportunity to graduate into the next level of their affiliation with UF—The Grand Guard Society.

Grand Guard Tailgate


Grand Guard Society members are invited to the UF Alumni Association’s traditional Gator Nation Tailgate held at Emerson Alumni Hall.  A Grand Guard Society members-only area will be available. Get ready to cheer on the Gators as they take on Samford. 

**A limited amount of football tickets will be available for purchase during the registration process

Swinging Sixties


This interactive session will recount the national, state and local historic events of the 1960s including the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement and the shift in social mores.

Neuroscience of Aging Gracefully


Join Dr. Rachael Seidler from the College of Health & Human Performance as she discusses the latest research on brain changes with age and how they impact movement, as well as promising interventions.

Don't forget your bathroom scale (no, she will not ask you your weight!) and a ruler!
